Digital & Color Negative Processing and Printing

All Machine Done Prints, whether from film or digital media, are printed on Kodak Royal Paper. This is Kodak's premium paper stock and is almost twice as heavy as most other color papers and has excellent color and sharpness. All frames are color, density, and contrast corrected for best possible print.

35mm film and digital files are normally printed as borderless 4x6 prints with matte finish, but 3.5x5 or 4x5 size prints are available. Prints from film or digital media can be done with borders and/or Glossy finish upon request.
Original roll 120 square format is printed 4x4, (5x5 available upon request) and all other 120 film formats are printed 4x5,
or 4x6 format (6x7,6x9, or 645).

Original 35mm roll C-41 processing can be done in as little as 30 minutes. Mail Orders are usually 1-2 days in house. While machine done reprints and enlargements can be done in as little as 10 minutes, please allow 1-2 days for 35mm reprints, 5x7, 8x10, or 8x12, 11x14, or 12x18 machine prints.

We cannot print machine prints from single 35mm negs, without a scanning charge. Single 120 negs may require an extra handling fee (Index prints I.E.). 220 development, 220 Contact sheets, and 220 Index prints are double the 120 prices.

Index prints hold a maximum of 40 images. Index print prices are per sheet/print.

Prints 6x9 and smaller are available in Matte (N surface) or Glossy (F surface) with or without (standard) borders.
8x10 up to 12x18 are available in Matte (N surface) or new Metallic.

Black and White Processing and Printing

All conventional Black and White film is processed by hand using tanks and reels and processed for the manufacturer's specified times. Film types are not mixed, so each film type receives the correct amount of development. Black and white film is currently processed once per week or two, so develop and print, and develop and CD orders, will take 5-14 days in house.

All Machine Done Prints are printed on Kodak's Royal Paper (silver paper). The Royal paper is the heaviest stock paper on the market, with an emulsion that gives more depth to your photos than other papers. This paper is as Archival (approx. 130 yrs.) as any color paper. Digital files and original 35mm rolls are normally printed in 4x6 format, but 3.5x5 and 4x5 size prints are available upon request. Original 120 square format rolls are printed 4x4, with 5x5 available by request, and all other 120 film formats are printed in 4x5, or 4x6 format (645, or 6x7 & 6x9,). Allow 1-2 days in house for reprints and enlargements to 12x18 machine prints, although at most times we are able to do them in less than an hour. All print sizes are available with or without borders (borderless is standard). Prints larger than 12x18 are Archival Ink Jet (86 yrs) and take approximately 2-3 days.

Contact sheets are now digital Jumbo Index prints, printed on Kodak Royal paper. Allow 1-2 days in house.

Like all enlargements, orders with very exacting requirements of density, contrast, or exacting dodging and burning (via PhotoShop), are considered Custom Prints and will incur the cropping fee, or PhotoShop
fees.
